Darbar South Asian Music Festival

Leicester's Darbar South Asian Music Festival, held at Leicester's new Curve Theatre, brings together renowned musicians who transport listeners to their homelands with the melodies of their traditional instruments.

The programme ranges from the traditional to contemporary eclectic: past programmes have included Rakesh Chaurasia blending the sounds of his hollow bamboo bansuri flute with jazz and Spanish guitar melodies, Bhupinder Singh Chaggar mixing his tabla playing with flamenco, Western percussion, soul and hip-hop.
