Upton-upon-Severn's long-established International Oliver Cromwell Jazz Festival presents an annual weekend of music by the riverside featuring local and international performers playing New Orleans, Dixieland, traditional jazz and swing.

Performances take place in three large marquees: Fat's, Oliver's and Satchmo's, and other venues include Tommy's Bar and the Jazz Garden on Fish Meadow by the River Severn. There's even a very pleasant spot beneath the road on the west bridge abutment, where you can listen to live jazz while you watch the river traffic drift by. All the venues are within easy walking distance of each other.

Highlights include parades on Saturday morning and Sunday lunchtime and riverboat trips. Camping and caravanning facilities are available to ticketholders.
