One of England's most celebrated composers, Sir Edward Elgar, composer of Pomp and Circumstance, is remembered in Worcester's Elgar Birthplace Museum. A curiously small place given his great legacy, this cosy museum is actually the house he was born in.
In the cottage where the Elgar Birthplace Museum is housed, you can see Elgar's study with his gramophone and desk, as well as memorabilia including family photos and personal possessions. Over in the Elgar Centre there are further pieces, including some of the scores and manuscripts that illustrate his life and work.
