Leafy Stanley Park, away from the buzz of Blackpool's seafront, is an award-winning horticultural and wildlife centre with Italian Gardens and a boating lake. Kids can let off steam in the playground or play a game of pitch and putt.

Stroll through Marton Mere nature reserve or see tiny Blackpool trams at the intricate Model Village. Statues are scattered throughout the formal borders in the pretty Italian Gardens and pathways lead to secluded corners. The lake is home to a variety of birds, who mingle happily with the rowboats.
