Venue history

This beautiful Victorian hotel, built in 1900, is rich with architecture, history and character. With a long standing reputation for the highest quality food coupled with exemplary service, you can be confident that your guests will be delighted.

Venue grounds

We have a choice of two terrace areas for you to entertain your guests within the landscaped grounds. The South terrace boasts its own driveway for the happy couple to arrive in style. Your guests can shower you on the steps with confetti and this area is popular for group photo's. If you're looking for a quieter area then wander around to the West terrace where you will find a beautiful rose arch.

Venue location

The Hotel is set in the heart of the historic Spa town of Harrogate yet within walking distance of the main railway and bus stations. Walk through our gardens and you are in the heart of the town centre with its beautiful designer shops and the new culture of cafe bars which add a new dimension whilst maintaining the towns original style. If you're staying for the weekend and want to experience Harrogate take a walk up to Betty's Tea rooms and languish in its opulent surroundings.

Our Reading and Drawing rooms with their ornate chandeliers and elegant fireplaces offer the perfect setting. Our Ballroom encapsulates the grandeur of a past era where parties for high society were regularly enjoyed. The beautiful billiard room & Carriage Suite offers an alternative venue for your special day.

Within our private grounds there is parking for up to 250 cars for which there is no charge for wedding guests (concessionary charges for those staying overnight)
