Christmas indulgence
Christmas Eve
After you have checked in, start your festive break with a traditional afternoon tea and let Bob entertain you with his famous quiz. In the evening, meet the hotel management team for a champagne reception followed by a four-course dinner with local carol singers and live vocalist. Stroll into Harrogate for a local midnight service and we will await your return with mince pies and hot chocolate.

Christmas Day
A gentle, guided walk around Harrogate has become a bit of an ‘after breakfast’ tradition at the Barceló Harrogate Majestic Hotel and with the introduction of a ‘brandy stop’ en-route to keep you warm, what better way to work up an appetite for the lovely Christmas Day lunch back at the hotel? As always, Santa will surprise the children with a gift during lunch and later on, they can be entertained with a festive magic show. There’s tea and cake for all in the lounge in the afternoon and a chance to relax and watch the Queen’s broadcast to the nation. Complete your day with a beautiful buffet in the evening with live music and the chance to have a dance.

Boxing Day
Don’t rush this morning – we will serve brunch until 11.30am. Take the opportunity to explore Harrogate and the surrounding areas but be back at the hotel for afternoon tea, sandwiches and Bob’s very own ‘Millionaire’ game, a guaranteed afternoon of interactive fun for all. If you enjoy the pantomime, then Harrogate Theatre’s Boxing Day production of Cinderella will be popular and we can arrange your tickets in advance (for an additional cost). The evening event is a gala dinner with drinks reception, fabulous four course dinner and live entertainment. Although this is the last official night, we do have special accommodation rates if you would like to spend more time in Harrogate.

Saturday 27th December
Set yourself up for your journey home with a hearty breakfast before we bid you a fond farewell. No single supplement in a single bedded.

A sparkling New Year
Tuesday 30th December
Arrive, unpack and enjoy afternoon tea in the lounge. This evening, a welcome drinks reception will be hosted by the hotel’s management team, followed by a four-course candlelit dinner with dancing to a live band.

New Year’s Eve
Harrogate is a beautiful town and you have the day at leisure to do whatever you please; browse the designer boutiques, visit the antiques quarter or take afternoon tea in the famous Betty’s tea rooms, all just a short stroll from the hotel. Whatever you do, be sure to be back at the hotel in plenty of time to  get ready for what will be a fantastic black-tie New Year’s Eve celebration. The evening starts with a champagne reception, followed by a stunning five-course dinner. See in the New Year with a traditional piper and a spectacular fireworks display (weather permitting) then dance the night away with the ever popular Nightjars Band and DJ. Children under 16 are unable to join the gala dinner but you can arrange a babysitter through Safehands Network.

New Year’s Day
Begin the year with a leisurely start to the day as brunch is served until noon. If you don’t have to rush home we are offering superb rates to extend your stay. No single supplement in a single bedded room for the two-night New Year break, a supplement is payable for a double or twin room with single occupancy.

Guaranteeing Your Booking
To guarantee your Christmas party booking please send a £10.00 deposit for each guests within 10 days of making your party night reservation. Your deposit cannot be transferred to cover drinks or accommodation. The balance should be settled four weeks before your event. To guarantee your New Year package you’ll need to pay a 50% deposit. All accommodation must be fully prepaid at the time of booking. All payments are non-refundable. You can pay this by Access/MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners, Switch or a cheque (made payable to Barceló UK Hotels.
