Jul 2009 (annual)

The Nantwich International Cheese Show, held every year at Cheshire showground, Dorfold Hall, is generally accepted as the definitive cheese show in the British Isles.
The Supreme Championship - the National Westminster Cup - is a hotly-contested event, with thousands of entries from over 19 countries. The public day also coincides with the Nantwich Show.
Housed in a vast air-conditioned marquee, the show provides the opportunity to experience the best traditional cheeses, from Stilton to Camembert, Cheshire and Wensleydale, incorporating both organic and vegetarian varieties. Attendees and exhibitors can evaluate the developments, innovations and trends in cheese making and sample other dairy produce.
As part of the Nantwich Agricultural Society's annual show, there are also main ring attractions and displays. These include horses, cattle, sheep, poultry, honey, home crafts, flowers and plants.
On the first day the show is open to trade and press only, but on the second day it is open to the public.
