"Hotel is in a great location.  You can reach all the attractions within a 10 minute walk. The rooms are nice and beds are comfortable. The bar is lovely and the service is excellent! I would stay here again, plus the health club is free and really well equipped."

"We've just returned from a weekend break at the Barceló Edinburgh Carlton Hotel. It was a 40th Birthday treat. Our room was ready at 12.30, but as it was my birthday the Hotel upgraded us to a Premium Room. Whilst we waited for the upgraded room we had lunch upstairs in the lounge, which was stylish. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. Our room was ready shortly after lunch. The room itself was perfect, spacious, luxurious, spotlessly clean with fabulous view. My husband had arranged champagne and chocolates prior to our arrival, which were in the room for our arrival nicely chilled and very tasty. The staff could not have been more helpful for any requests - from ordering taxis to advice on shopping. The breakfast was very good. Nothing was too much trouble.  Most tourist sites were within walking distance and if walking was too much the tour buses stopped just round the corner. Tickets for this can be bought in the hotel. We never had time to try the leisure facilities, but they also have a beauty spa which can be booked. The best points for this hotel are the staff, the quality of the hotel and the location. If you shop around you can pick up a really good deals too! We would definitely go back to this hotel and were that impressed by the hotel group, would try other Barceló Hotels. We had a perfect weekend in a fabulous hotel."
