Located close to the Historic Dockyard and Old Portsmouth, Gunwharf Quays has become one of the most popular areas to eat, drink and shop in the city, with wide pedestrianised avenues and views across the harbour.

In total there are 85 designer outlets covering fashion, accessories, footwear, homeware, books and music, 20 bars and restaurants, a 14-screen cinema, the 26-lane Bowlpex bowling alley, Jongleurs comedy club and Tiger Tiger nightclub. As well as the permanent shops and eateries, there are grottoes at Christmas and the occasional Gourmet French Market alongside various other events.
