The Bath Mozartfest returns for another year of high quality classical music. Performances predominantly take place at the Assembly Rooms, but others are hosted at Bath Abbey, The Guildhall and the Forum.
In 2009 anniversary composers dominate the programme: Handel's Coronation Anthems are performed by Harry Christophers and his Sixteen (Bath Abbey, 14 November), Mendelssohn with Dame Felicity Lott and Sir Thomas Allen (Assembly Rooms, 18 November) and also coupled with Haydn with Joan Rodgers and the Florestan Trio (Assembly Rooms, 20 November).
Mozart brings the festival to an end with Sir Roger Norrington conducting the Requiem, in memory of the late Richard Hickox who was to have given the concert (The Forum, 21 November).
