Bath Comedy Festival

Bath is having a laugh this April, with a comedy festival starting on April Fool's Day. The annual festival brings the crème de la crème of stand-up comedians, street theatre and mime performers, plays, caricatures and more to the historical city.

With this year's programme including fixtures like the Bizarre Bath Comedy Walk and a Scottish Sock Puppet Theatre, the Bath Comedy Festival has a funny way of presenting comedy.

Other highlights of the 2010 festival include shows from Arthur Smith and Lucy Porter, while a number of events also welcome children.

With numerous venues hosting the eclectic array of performers that descend on Bath, it's a particularly good time to let your hair down in this often upper-class city.
