The Ammerdown Centre in Bath is a little-known Somerset oasis "dedicated to peace, tranquillity and reconciliation". Feed your mind and soul, tap into the huge menu of events, activities and courses, or just drop in and chill out.

The centre, based in a beautiful 18th-century stately pile, opened its doors in the early 1970s, when Lord Hylton and some friends formulated the concept of an adult education centre. Since then, it has developed into a nationally respected centre, and is one that has strong commitment to Jewish and Christian relations, and indeed to the fostering of the values of all faiths.
