The Jane Austen Centre in Bath is a permanent exhibition that explores the impact of living in the city on Austen and her writing.
Austen's love and knowledge of the city is best reflected in her novels Northanger Abbey and Persuasion. The Jane Austen Centre is located in a Georgian house where visitors can discover Bath in her time and the impact it had on her life. There is also a shop which sells a wide selection of her works, as well as related books, CDs, videos and cassettes.
Every year, in September, there is a Jane Austen Festival, with events at the centre and around the city.
