THE BEACH
 

The best things in life are free….and here is one of them.  Just five minutes walk from the hotel and we’ve even come up with some suggestions on what to do when you get there! Sandcastle competition (highest, prettiest, most functional etc).  of course you won’t want it to be too easy so don’t give them any tools!

- Treasure hunt, perhaps with a prize for the person or team that brings
   back the most unusual items which then have to be linked together in a  
   story.  Naturally the winner is the spinner of the best yarn!

- Sports day – take them back to when they were children with the egg and
   spoon, the relay, the three-legged sprint and the sack race.Huntin’,Shootin’ and Fishin’…

 
The adventure place at Ayrshire country events is a 106-acre outdoor centre located in Fenwick, just 15 minutes drive from the hotel.  It offers a wide range of outdoor activities for groups, teams and families that is sure to inspire all who come along, regardless of age.

This time the Senior Open in 2008, and the Marine is the nominated hotel supplier.  You will be hard-pushed to find a more challenging course(www.royaltroon.co.uk) but there are plenty of excellent alternatives in the area.  Dundonald Links, designed by Kyle Phillips, one of the game’s top architects, has been recognised as one of the best new courses in the world.

Fun and Games
Sometimes you are just looking for the simple pleasures – a quiz night, a game of darts or even karaoke.  These, too, can be arranged for you in one of our private rooms.  Simply speak to our Meetings and Events Manager at the hotel who will be pleased to discuss options with you.
 
 
And you thought it was just an outdoor sport!  We can arrange for a round on Scotland’s top courses without the need to travel outside the hotel, with the world’s most accurate golf simulator.Play Carnoustie, St Andrews or many other great courses with your friends in the comfort of the hotel.                From Glasgow airport catch the shuttle bus to Paisley Gilmour
               Street and the direct train takes just over half-an-hour to Troon
