As one of the most celebrated hotels in
England, The Lygon Arms, has been
welcoming travellers since the 16th century. Today its charm and
sense of occasion are as pronounced as ever while complemented
by the best of modern comfort.
Despite its central village location The Lygon Arms also has three acres of grounds that include lawns, flower gardens, croquet and archery facilities, and floodlit tennis courts.
The Lygon Arms has now embarked on a multi-million pound restoration programme
involving detailed work by some of the county’s leading craftsmen
to most of the architectural and decorative features of the hotel. This
will ensure that The Lygon Arms will still maintain the heart and soul
of one of Britain’s most cherished landmark hotels.
Original features such as the timber and flagstone floors, wood panelling,
doors, architraves, dados and all stone mullions will be retained and renovated,
as well as dramatically lit to highlight every architectural feature.
