Situated close to Stratford-upon-Avon, William Shakespeare was a regular visitor to the old Manor House Library where he reputedly wrote "As You Like It". In 1639 Shakespeare's last surviving granddaughter Elizabeth Nash (ne Hall) married her second husband John Barnard in Billesley Church, the Chapel of All Saints which is adjacent to Billesley Manor House.
