So whether you require a small intimate occasion for up to 26 guests in our charismatic Wine Cellars, or a grand gathering for up to 180 guests in our famous Paganini Ballroom, we can tailor to your needs.

The Barceló Brighton Old Ship Hotel is steeped in History, and is the city's oldest hotel, dating back to 1559. It was even the Honeymoon location in Vanity Fair, written by Thackeray in 1848. Many famous people have stayed over the years from Lord Byron, Charles Dickens to Winston Churchill himself. It is known that The Prince Regent was kept informed of who was staying , this was so he could invite to guests to the lavish surroundings of the Royal Pavilion. The Main Function room is one of the most Historic venues in Sussex. This elegant Regency room is named after the famous violinist who played a recital from the "floating" balcony in 1831. Situated on Brighton seafront, the Barceló Old Ship Hotel is situated between the two piers. The hotel is also at the gateway to the famous Lanes, which are full of antique jewellery shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants.

The Barceló Brighton Old shop has four rooms licensed room for Civil Ceremonies and Civil Partnerships. Our grade II listed Regency Suite is the largest of the rooms, seating up to 110 people. With elegant period features such as the ornate ceiling and large stain glass windows it is ideal for creating an opulent environment. The Regency room is named after the famous violinist who played a recital from the "floating" balcony in 1831. The Gresham Suite is a bright and airy room with high ceilings, decorated in neutral colours, and is perfect for ceremonies for up to 60 guests. The Tudor Suite, seating 70 guests, is extremely cosy for winter weddings with its Tudor beams and a stone fireplace, romantically lit by candlelight. Overlooking the famous promenade, we have our Fecamp Lounge, one of Brighton's few sea facing function rooms, which can seat 50 guests.

Venue Parking: The hotel has secure on site parking which has spaces for 35 cars. This is operated on a first come first served basis and is charged. A car parking space is booked for the Bride and Groom. Alternatively there is a public car park across the road.
